Get to know Obstetrician and Gynecologist Dr. Tiffany M. Satterfield, who serves the population of Texas. Dr. Satterfield completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Detroit Mercy where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science. Wanting to further her education she graduated from the Arizona College Osteopathic Medicine with her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005, giving him over a decades worth of experience in her field. After obtaining her degree she completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency with the University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Satterfield is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. To stay up to date in her field, she remains a professional member of the The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Medical Association, and the Bexar County Medical Society. Obstetrician-gynecologists (OB/GYN) are physicians who possess special knowledge, skills and professional capability in the medical and surgical care of the femaFfamille reproductive system and associated disorders, enables them to serve as consultants to other physicians and as primary physicians for women. Obstetrics and gynecology is a broad and diverse branch of medicine, including surgery, management of the care of pregnant women, gynecologic care, oncology, and primary health care for women. Most OB/GYNs are generalists and see a variety of medical conditions in the office, perform surgery, and manage labor and delivery.
