Can a rib pop back into place?
Yes, it can happen. It's not terribly common period because, once any bone moves out of place, the body's natural protective mechanisms kick in and cause significant muscle cramping around the bone period to stabilize it from going further out. The downside is it usually prevents them from going back into place also. READ MORE
How do you realign your back?
Simply stated, no. There's a reason that Chiropractic is a doctor-level degree. Never confuse activity with accomplishment. Moving something and making a noise doesn't mean that you've move the right thing or that it went back to the right place. over time, self-cracking can lead to significant spinal degeneration. READ MORE

How can I crack my lower back like a chiropractor?
That's not a good idea. The issue is, when two bones are stuck out of place opposite each other they are harder to move than the bones that move properly. and when you put a significant amount of force into the spine enough to move a bone, and don't properly stabilize the levels above or below the fixated area, the bones that have proper range of motion will actually move further than they should, causing damage. Over a long time it can cause spinal degeneration. READ MORE
Why does my pelvis keep shifting?
Usually, mechanical instabilities are preceded by neurological instabilities. Meaning there is usually either a pinched nerve, or nerve tension in the system that makes it so that the nerve impulses cannot control the muscles properly, therefore the bones move more than they should. Many times this is caused by a whiplash, or some kind of pelvic floor injury, common in females post pregnancy. READ MORE
What should I avoid if I have sciatica?
The first step is always proper diagnosis. A lot of times a pinched nerve in the low back can look a lot like sciatica. And those are two very different conditions. The amount of things that sciatica prevents you from doing is pretty significant, rather than avoidance, especially being that you are so young, I would not recommend changing your behavior to prevent the condition from being worse. I would instead, recommend a proactive approach to look at the underlying reasons why you have sciatica, if it is in fact truly sciatica. READ MORE

Make sure you find a D.C. who's comfortable with you and whatever troubles you are having, even if they are not related to the pregnancy. READ MORE
Can chiropractic help with nerve pain?
You hit it right on! Chiropractic is all about proper nerve function. That being said, the most common cause of nerve pain is mechanical compression, as in a bone out of place, putting pressure on a nerve, causing the nerve to distinction. There are other causes of nerve pain like bad allergies, poor diet, or more serious issues like depression or autoimmunity, but that should all be reviewed by the attending D.C. during the exam. Just be sure to let them know why you're seeking their help. READ MORE
What are some stretches my son can do at home for back pain?
One of the best stretches he can do for the preservation of his low back, is called the Cobra pose, from yoga. It's very similar to a push-up, but his pelvis stays on the floor, so that his lower back is arched. one surprising thing that helps relieve lower back pain, is it stretching all the muscles in the legs, especially the ones on the inner thighs, the abductors and adductors. Many times chronic low back pain comes from having tight leg muscles. stretching those out helps relieve the tension on the pelvis that the low back muscles have to compensate for. Always remember, you should talk to your chiropractor before starting your son and any stretching or exercise routine. Also, stretching is good, and necessary. But it does not replace what chioropractic does for the spine. READ MORE
How do chiropractors treat scoliosis?
There are a lot of ways to approach scoliosis treatment in chiropractic. what are the most effective, and gentle ways is through Upper Cervical Specific care. Why do I have lower back pain?
Most back pain is from disc problems. When the disc becomes compressed it causes pain signals oh, it is usually from chronic bad posture, and long-term sitting. One of the major issues with that, is the more inflammation there is, the more your body will lay down scar tissue to hold it in place.through a process called wound contraction, that scar tissue will continue to compress the disc worse and worse until the disc finally goes out. That could be soon, or very long off in the future. You need to get it evaluated professionally, by a chiropractor. The best course of care for a degenerative disc, is regular Chiropractic adjustments. There was a study done by an osteopath, who took 700 patience that had chronic back pain of 10 years or more oh, and had failed other kinds of treatment prior, and had them get a chiropractic adjustment for 14 days in a row. by the end of the treatment. More than 80% of them had significant release of back pain. In a three-year follow-up study they found that over 65% of those people had still no back pain. READ MORE
