  • Can chiropractors prescribe medications?

The simple answer, is no. Chiropractors have access to most all message of healing, but we do not use any kind of pharmaceuticals, or surgical interventions. To that point, there are many other options for pain relief other than adjusting, or medication. Many chiropractors are skilled in nutrition and there are plenty of nutraceuticals, or herbal remedies that will do a great job relieving pain. If you are chiropractor that you're saying doesn't offer those things you should definitely seek them out otherwise. Especially with all of the danger of abnormal chemistry, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, even like ibuprofen aspirin acetaminophen all have negative consequences when there are much safer other natural means to reduce the symptoms of pain, while your body heals from the real trouble. • How well does spinal manipulation work for sciatica?

Short answer, yes. Many times, pain that comes from the back or the hip that goes down the leg is not actually sciatica, it can be piriformis syndrome, or it can be a lumbar radiculopathy. It's super important to have it diagnosed properly so that you're treating the right problem. Otherwise, you can waste lots of time and money trying to use an option that won't work, that allows the problem to get worse over time instead of better. While being masked biting adequate solutions like muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatory medications. That is one of the things that most chiropractors deal with day in and day out. READ MORE

Dr. McLane is a chiropractic physician who specializes in solving complex and difficult cases; his true specialty is differential diagnosis. Philosophically, in order to get a patient well, he always addresses all three areas of stress that the body experiences: physical, mental, and chemical. It is through a comprehensive investigation into the underpinnings of a condition that Dr. McLane believes a novel solution can be found.

Dr. McLane is currently serving patients at his own private chiropractic clinic – ADIO Chiropractic Clinic – located in Libertyville, Illinois. ADIO is an acronym coined by B.J. Palmer, the developer of chiropractic. It stands for Above, Down, Inside Out and it refers to how the nerves flow through the body and the body’s innate ability to heal itself once nerve interference is removed.

At his chiropractic clinic, Dr. McLane strives to increase the quality of life for all of the individuals involved with quick and long-lasting natural resolutions that are custom tailored to meet the needs of each individual with respect to their values and experiences. He has experience treating many patients with conditions ranging from whiplash to scoliosis to herniated discs to ear infections.
