Dr. Pilavsky obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD). While completing his DDS, he served in leadership roles in two NYUCD continuing education seminars, served as a teaching assistant for first-year dental students, as well as participated in NYUCD’s Dental Outreach Programs in Honduras and Nicaragua. Dr. Pilavsky then went on to complete his general practice residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, after which he joined dental teams of two private practices serving Manhattan, where he practiced for over 10 years.
Dr. Pilavsky is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.. He is also a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). The ICOI is a tax-exempt, non-profit professional association that renders education, holds seminars and meetings, and encourages research work regarding implantology.
Dr. Pilavsky is certified by the North East Regional Board of Dental Examiners, Inc. He is an Invisalign® Preferred Provider and is proficient in laser dentistry (hard- and soft-tissue lasers).
