Varicoceles are often caused by bad valves in the veins that drain the testicles, especially on the left. It is possible for an interventional radiologist to embolize the bad vein so the veins no longer have the high pressure from the incompetent draining veins. READ MORE

Can contrast dye damage kidneys?
The typical intravenous contrast used in CT is cleared from the body by the kidneys. It may damage the kidneys if too much is used or if your kidneys are already compromised.
