Get to know Cardiologist Dr. Sanjay D. Naik, who serves patients throughout the State of New York.

Being a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiologist, Dr. Naik is in practice with ColumbiaDoctors Medical Group. He sees patients at the office in Mount Vernon, New York.

Some of his areas of expertise / conditions that he treats include: adult cardiology, cardiovascular stress testing, cholesterol and triglyceride management, congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, echocardiography, and high blood pressure holter monitoring.

Licensed to practice medicine in New York, Dr. Naik is affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital.

Among his academic appointments, he serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Columbia University Medical Center.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Naik graduated with his medical degree from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He then went on to perform his internship and residency at New York University Medical Center, and his fellowship at Westchester Medical Center.

Continuously advancing his efforts, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who excel and strive to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart, as well as some parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology. Cardiologists are doctors who diagnose, assess, and treat patients with diseases and defects of the heart and blood vessels (the cardiovascular system).

On a more personal note, Dr. Naik is fluent in both English and Spanish.
