Get to know Endocrinologist Dr. A. Donald Angeletti, who serves patients in Montclair, New Jersey.

With over five decades of experience in his field, Dr. Angeletti is a well-respected endocrinologist who specializes in diet programs, weight loss counseling, and diet food products. He is affiliated with Hackensack University Medical Center – Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, New Jersey.

Mountainside Medical Center delivers personalized care while also serving as a learning center via its nursing school and residency programs in family medicine, internal medicine, and dentistry. The hospital has served Montclair, Glen Ridge, and surrounding communities for more than 120 years.

Back in 1970, the doctor earned his medical degree from the University of Bologna – Faculty of Medicine in Bologna, Italy. Upon relocating to the United States, he went on to complete his internship in internal medicine at New York Methodist Hospital, followed by his residency in internal medicine at Mountainside Hospital. 

After completion of his fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, he began devoting his career to creative and successful weight loss programs. 

Endocrinology is a branch of biology and medicine dealing with the endocrine system, its diseases, and its specific secretions known as hormones. Endocrinologists have the training to diagnose and treat hormone imbalances and problems by helping to restore the normal balance of hormones in the body. The common diseases and disorders of the endocrine system that endocrinologists deal with include diabetes mellitus, as well as adrenal, pituitary, and thyroid disorders, among others.
