Celebrating a Decade of Dedication at The Augury for Women’s Health & Midwifery

Dr. Shayeb, a distinguished obstetrician-gynecologist and the Chief Executive Officer of The Augury for Women’s Health & Midwifery, proudly marks a decade of transforming women’s healthcare since co-founding the practice in 2014. Under his leadership, The Augury has become a beacon of comprehensive care, offering a unique blend of conventional medicine and midwifery’s holistic approach, catering to women at every stage of life. 

Over the past ten years, he has delivered a wide array of services, including outpatient gynecological care, annual health assessments, labor and delivery support, and advanced surgical procedures. His commitment to minimally invasive and robotic surgeries exemplifies his dedication to providing the highest quality care. He balances a multifaceted role, conducting regular office hours, offering 24-hour in-house care, and ensuring that his patients receive the most attentive and personalized service possible.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Shayeb has been an influential educator, sharing his knowledge and experience with emerging medical professionals as the director of clerkship and associate residency program director in OB-GYN at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center since 2020. His previous role as director of Wyckoff’s Women’s Health Center further solidified his commitment to women’s health education.

Pertaining to his educational pursuits, he received his medical degree from Damascus University and completed a residency at NYU’s Brooklyn campus. He is a board-certified physician and fluent in English, Spanish, Arabic, and French. His contributions to the field have earned him recognition as a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Beyond his clinical and educational roles, Dr. Shayeb passionately supports his community through philanthropic efforts with Syrian Youth Empowerment, a nonprofit dedicated to helping students from conflict zones in their pursuit of higher education in the U.S. 

Looking ahead, he envisions expanding The Augury’s reach in Brooklyn and Queens, aiming to create fully integrated facilities that combine midwifery and women’s healthcare. He remains committed to lifelong learning and personal growth, with aspirations to further hone his skills while maintaining a healthy work-life balance, thanks in part to the invaluable support of his family.
