Carlos Cordon-Cardo, MD, PhD, is recognized as a ground breaking pathological figure all around the world. An expert in tumor suppression, Dr. Cordon-Cardo developed and implemented an oncologic molecular pathology discipline and helped create the ?systems pathology? platform. His methods have helped to better understand prostate and bladder cancers and how they function. He is on research and scientific advisory committees all over the world, and is licensed to practice in Spain as well. The creator of several patents, Dr. Cordon-Cardo is changing how pathology departments work and function, creating and expanding them like he did at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
