Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Carlos Barrionuevo, who serves patients in Coral Springs, Florida.

Dr. Barrionuevo is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist (OBGYN) who has been practicing since 1993. He blends compassionate care and state-of-the-art technology at Coral Springs OBGYN, LLC, respectfully treating women as individuals. Should his patients require hospitalization for delivery or surgical procedures, Dr. Barrionuevo is affiliated with the Coral Springs Medical Center and the North Broward Medical Center.

Dr. Barrionuevo handles everything from routine wellness exams and birth control to problems like endometriosis, fibroids, and the transition into menopause. On the obstetric side of his practice, he handles both routine and high-risk pregnancies, providing vigilant monitoring of both mother and child. When it comes to surgical solutions, he uses minimally-invasive laparoscopic techniques to reduce the risk whenever possible.

A native of Argentina, Dr. Barrionuevo completed his undergraduate and medical studies at the Buenos Aires University School of Medicine in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This is also where he completed further training in obstetrics and gynecology.

After 10 years in private practice in Argentina, Dr. Barrionuevo moved to the United States, where he completed the necessary medical requirements for certification from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. He also completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology (including robotic surgery) at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey.

Dr. Barrionuevo is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Medical Association. He has received several awards throughout his line of work, including On-Time Doctor award (2017, 2018), Patients’ Choice award (2017, 2018) and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2017, 2018).

Obstetrics and gynaecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and gynaecology. As an OBGYN, Dr. Barrionuevo has extensive experience handling all aspects of gynecological care throughout every stage of a woman’s life.
