Get to know Dr. Gamaliel Immanuel, a physician specializing in the digestive system. With unmatched knowledge and experience, Gamaliel Immanuel, MD has served in western Long Island for nearly 50 years. Dr. Immanuel performs colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures and provides accurate and thorough care for patients suffering from digestive issues. He specializes in Acid Reflux Disease, Gastroesophageal Reflux / GERD, Celiac Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), and Ulcerative Colitis. Dr. Immanuel received his training and education from the University of Indonesia, Faculty of Medicine University of Indonesia in Jakarta, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. The Faculty of Medicine (FKUI) is the oldest unit in the history of Universitas Indonesia. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine – Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology as well as the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). He completed his residency, interned and gained a fellowship Winthrop-University Hospital. As a practicing physician he remains affiliated with Winthrop-University Hospital. NYU Winthrop Hospital, an affiliate of NYU Langone Health, provides inpatient and outpatient medical care to adults and children through our network of Long Island healthcare facilities. The flagship hospital, formerly known as Winthrop-University Hospital, is a 591-bed medical center located in Mineola which offers sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic care in virtually every specialty.
