Can I whiten my teeth with baking soda alone?
Baking soda can be abrasive to the enamel. While it may remove superficial stains such as coffee, tea, etc., we would recommend a baking soda toothpaste. However, most deep stains will not change in appearance. Currently, we are not aware of natural bleaching products. We recommend Opalescence bleaching products here in our office. READ MORE

Academically, Dr. Johnson graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He always enjoyed helping people, and his father was a dentist, so it only seemed natural to pursue a career in dentistry himself. After earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri in Kansas City, he entered private practice.
He and his team strive to exceed expectations. Around the office, Dr. Johnson’s team members appreciate his communication skills, flexible nature, and patience.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Mexico Dental Association, the Albuquerque District Dental Society, the Westside Study Club, and the American Academy of Dental Practice.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
On a more personal note, Dr. Johnson has been married for over 33 years. He has one son, one daughter, and one son-in-law. When he’s away from the office, he enjoys playing golf, fishing, hiking, gardening, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and tinkering with his ’65 Mustang.
