Get to know Emergency Physician Dr. Seth Rehrer, who serves patients throughout the State of Texas.

A board-certified emergency physician, Dr. Rehrer is affiliated with Houston Methodist, serving patients at Houston Methodist West Hospital, Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital, Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital, and Houston Methodist Hospital.

Houston Methodist comprises a leading academic medical center in the Texas Medical Center and six community hospitals serving the Greater Houston area. Graduating with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012, Dr. Rehrer went on to further his training by completing a residency in emergency medicine at the University of Texas at Houston in 2015.

With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine, which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of acutely ill patients with advanced cardiac life support, trauma, and the management of other life-threatening medical issues (emergency physicians).

Emergency medicine, also known as accident and emergency medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. An emergency physician works in an emergency department to care for acutely ill or injured patients on an unscheduled basis.

Among his most notable achievements, Dr. Rehrer has been the recipient of the Patients' Choice Award (2018, 2017), On-Time Doctor Award (2018), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2017).
