Get to know Interventional Neurologist Dr. Dennys Reyes Candedo, who serves patients in Boynton Beach, Florida.

An exceptional interventional neurologist, Dr. Candedo has been in practice at Palm Beach Neuroscience Institute since 2019. He can also be found on staff at Delray Medical Center and St. Mary's Medical Center. He specializes in the endovascular management and treatment of various neurologic conditions, carotid and intracranial stents, mechanical thrombectomy, coil and stent embolization of cerebral aneurysms, ONYX embolization, and vertebroplasty.

Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Candedo graduated with his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña in the Dominican Republic. After relocating to the United States, he completed his internship and residency in neurology at Cleveland Clinic Florida, serving as Chief Resident.

Subsequently, he completed his fellowship in vascular neurology at the National Institute of Health, before returning to Florida to complete his fellowship in interventional neurology with the Radiology Associates of South Florida, Baptist Health.

In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in neurology, vascular neurology, and interventional neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, which is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.

Remaining up to date in his field, Dr. Candedo is an active member of the Advanced Neuroscience Network, the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology, the World Stroke Organization, the American Heart Association, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the International Society of Endovascular Specialists.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.

On a more personal note, he is fluent in both English and Spanish.
