Get to know Nephrologist Dr. Ranjeet Singh, who serves patients in Arizona.

A specialist in the field of nephrology, Dr. Singh is in practice with the Southwest Kidney Institute, PLC. He sees patients at the offices in Phoenix (Estrella) and Peoria (Thunderbird), Arizona.

A proud, founding member of Renal Care Organization, Southwest Kidney Institute, PLC provides comprehensive treatment for acute and chronic kidney disease, end-stage renal disease, hypertension, kidney stones, kidney transplant, and electrolyte disorders. Its mission is to “Improve the lives of our patients by providing customized, comprehensive, high quality kidney care.”

Graduating with his medical degree from Government Medical College, Patiala in India in 2008, Dr. Singh relocated to the United States to further his training. Once there, he performed his residency in internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center in New York in 2014. This was followed by fellowships in nephrology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Elmhurst Hospital Center-Mount Sinai Services in 2015 and 2016, respectively. 

The doctor is board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

Licensed to practice medicine in Arizona, Dr. Singh is affiliated with Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Banner Boswell Medical Center, Banner Estrella Medical Center, Banner Del E Webb Medical Center, and Abrazo Arrowhead Hospital.

Nephrology is a specialty of medicine and pediatrics that concerns itself with the kidneys. It is the study of normal kidney function and kidney disease, the preservation of kidney health, and the treatment of kidney disease, from diet and medication to renal replacement therapy. Nephrologists have advanced training in treating kidney disease. They diagnose and treat kidney failure, as well as help patients by prescribing medications, offering special diet advice, and coordinating dialysis care or kidney transplantation when it becomes necessary.
