Renowned psychologist expands practice with specialized services for individuals, couples, families, and children in the San Fernando Valley

Dr. Jennifer Kates Ramlo, Ph.D., a highly experienced clinical psychologist with over 25 years in the field, is proud to offer comprehensive psychotherapy services for adults, children, adolescents, and families in Sherman Oaks and the greater San Fernando Valley. Based in Encino, Dr. Ramlo provides in-person, telehealth, and phone sessions, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting challenges, trauma, and personality disorders.

Dr. Ramlo holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California Graduate Institute and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Reiss-Davis Child Study Center, where she gained extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and their families. She is certified in both adult and child psychoanalysis by the Psychoanalytic Center of California and remains engaged in ongoing analytic supervision.

Motivated by her upbringing in a family of psychoanalysts and her commitment to continuous self-exploration, Dr. Ramlo integrates psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, attachment-based, internal family systems (IFS), and interpersonal approaches in her work. She believes therapy empowers individuals to transform how they experience emotions, build healthier relationships, and live more connected, purposeful lives.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Ramlo serves as faculty at the Reiss-Davis Child Study Center, mentoring doctoral students in parent-focused therapy. She is an active member of the American Psychological Association, California Psychological Association, and American Psychoanalytic Association. Her balanced expertise in psychopharmacology, neuropsychology, and substance-use treatment further enhances her integrative approach.
