Get to know Gastroenterologist Dr. Arun C. Naik, who serves patients throughout the State of New Jersey. 

Dr. Naik is a board-certified, New Jersey-based gastroenterologist. His professional interests include colon diseases, obesity, hepatitis C, hepatitis B, and biliary endoscopy. 

At present, he can be found on staff at Trinitas Regional Medical Center (Division of Gastroenterology), Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway, Saint Barnabas Medical Center, and Overlook Medical Center.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from Topiwala National Medical College in India in 1983. He then relocated to the United States, performing his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in gastroenterology at Interfaith Medical Center in New York.

Subsequent to his education, Dr. Naik attained board certification in internal medicine and gastroenterology through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Achieving fellowship status, he is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG), and a Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGAF).

Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine focused on the digestive system and its disorders. A gastroenterologist is a physician who has extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the esophagus, stomach, small intestines, colon, liver, pancreas, and biliary system.

Among Dr. Naik’s various accolades include Patients’ Choice Award (2016, 2017, 2018), On-Time Doctor Award (2016, 2017, 2018), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2017, 2018).

On a more personal note, he speaks several languages, including English, Spanish, Hindi, and Marathi.
