After medical school, Dr. Bhat worked as an intern at Medstar Washington Hospital Center and then completed residency at George Washington University, where he served as co-chief resident in his final year. Following residency, he did a fellowship to specialize in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in ophthalmology through the American Board of Ophthalmology, an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America.
