Are Some Beers Actually Gluten-Free? This Research Says Otherwise

Researchers found more gluten than there should be

Colgrave didn’t go into why some beers have unsafe amounts of gluten (over 20 mg of gluten per kilo of beer), but it could be that breweries use enzymes that filter gluten in the wrong way. Unfortunately, brewery companies don’t disclose their procedures in removing gluten from their beers as they want to conceal their methods from competitors. So, researchers actually had trouble finding the exact cause for this reaction.
