Positive Airway Pressure Therapy Improves Sleep Apnea Patients' Quality of Life
Who did this study include?
2,027 patients who are suffering from sleep apnea participated in the study. The mean age of the participants is 56 years old and about 54 percent of them were men. These patients began receiving the PAP therapy between January 1st, 2010 and December 31st, 2014. The general quality of life of the participants was assessed through the EQ-5D questionnaire while the effects of their sleep disorder in their daily routine was assessed through the FOSQ questionnaire. The scores from before and after the patients received the PAP therapy were then compared.
