This Video Game Improves Balance in Kids with Autism
The game's future
While this initial version of the game has shown to be very powerful and effective, researchers believe that it can get even better. They want to rework it to provide an update that would offer a heightened level of accessibility and inclusivity, so it can target more people on the autism spectrum, assisting more people with their balance. Travers explains her goals for the project, "we already have some features that help - the game has very little verbal instruction, which should make it more accessible to individuals who are minimally verbal. Ultimately, we would like to move this video game-based training outside the lab."
